W. Michael Doramus

Senior Vice President – Real Estate Operations

Mr. Doramus is responsible for investment acquisitions, asset management and investment sales for multifamily investments. He has thirty-two years experience in acquisition, development, leasing, asset management, property management and disposition of multifamily properties located throughout the United States.

Mike began working with Sarofim Realty Advisors in late 2001 in an alliance for the development and execution of Sarofim’s multifamily strategies; he joined the firm in 2003. Previously, Mike was President of Echelon Residential LLC from 1997 to 2000, where he directed the development of multifamily properties and was responsible for the development of several award winning communities. He received the Pillars Award for “Best Luxury Multifamily Project of the Year” in the U.S. for 1999 from the National Association of Homebuilders for the development of The Reserve in St. Petersburg, Florida.  Mike was a National Partner with the JPI Companies from 1992 to 1995. Due to his initiatives, JPI Companies was named the largest apartment developer in the country by Builder Magazine in 1996.

Mike’s prior experience also includes serving as President of Rosewood Management & Acquisition Group from 1990 to 1992, and as President of two Trammell Crow entities – Brentwood Properties and Trammell Crow Advisory Services from 1976 to 1987.

Mike is a 1972 graduate of Rhodes College (with honors and distinction) and is a member of the National Multi Housing Council.
