Robert D. Poynor

Vice President – Development and Construction

Mr. Poynor is VP of the Development and Construction function at Sarofim.  He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm’s commercial development projects.  In addition to assuring the successful and prudent development process for Sarofim, Bob coordinates these efforts with joint venture partners, project consultants, contractors and internal Sarofim staff.  He joined Sarofim in 2007.

Bob has over twenty-four years of experience in real estate including all aspects of project development from site selection through ultimate turnover to tenants and/or owners. He was a Partner with Champion Partners and was responsible for the development of office, mixed-use and industrial projects.  He also previously served in positions including Director of Development, Property Management and Project Manager for public and private development firms in all major property types as well as golf/hospitality and medical office. 

Bob graduated from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction.  He is a member of NAIOP, ICSC, BOMA, and the Texas Real Estate Council.
